Lebanon Lakes Volunteer Fire Company & EMS Training Photo Archive *Click on any individual picture to enlarge* The Lakes' Companies Are At it Again Stations 292 and 172 (Hampton Lakes) cross-trained August 26th 2008 @ 292 on SCBA, PPE and RIT. E1723,AIR1728 and CHF1720 traveled to Station 292 to assist in setting up the SCBA course for 292s/172s members in the NJ Firefighter I program to build their confidence in wearing their PPE and SCBA in a smoke filled environment. FF K.Morse,FF J.Kahoun along with Station 172 Capt. Gajderowicz IV (Gator) and Station 172 Chief Fenton conducted the drill which included a rolling response for the members so they get a real taste of the entire operation from start to end. Other topics covered were S&R, RIT, Hose Deployment and Tool Use. LLVFC sends a big thanks to Station 172 for attending and for bringing the cascade along. The two stations will continue to train together as they are on mutual aid for one another. GOOD WORK GUYS! *photos coming soon* Company Cross Trains on Rural Pt Removal The members of 292/298 trained on removing a patient from a rural, remote area. Firefighters K.Morse & FF. J.Kahoun set up and instructed the drill. Firefighters and EMTs simulated numerous scenarios with a victim in a very rural location which required the use of the stokes basket along with some rope and knots to extract the pt. The drill was a big success, good job TEAM 29! Hose line Placement and Advancement 7/7/08 June 7th 2008 Firefighter K.Morse trained Junior FF Ennis on hose line placement and advancement while Firefighter Tim Toth trained Probie Matt Newell on Rescue Engine 2923s pump. Both J.Ennis and M.Newell are enrolled in the Burlington County ESTC Firefighter I course that beings August 12th 2008. The membership of 292/298 wishes the best of luck to them! Extrication Training 6/6/08 June 6th 2008, Firefighters from LLVFC obtained two vehicles to use as training modules for Rescue. Captain Falt led the drill. Crews went through numerous scenarios before the night was let out. Big thanks to Friendship Towing of Tabernacle Township for letting us cut up their junked cars!! *Photos by Beth Toth & FF K.Morse* Companies Train in RIT and Rescue Ops Pictured are some of the members who attended a RIT and Rescue Operations class held at the Burlington County ESTC located in Westampton,NJ. Companies that attended were Lebanon Lakes Fire/EMS, Hampton Lakes Fire and Endeavor Rescue all from Burlington County. The training was conducted by members of Endeavor and Breathe Safe Fire & Safety. Topics covered were bailing out of a window with the repelling system on the MSA Firehawk SCBAs and Rescue and RIT Ops in the Class A burn building. Special thanks to Breathe Safe, Endeavor Rescue and Hampton Lakes Fire for the class. Back to Basics for Probies The Fall of 2007 marks another starting point for Burlington Counties ESTC Firefighter I class. Station 292 has 3 probie firefighters attending this fall and the training officers decided to get them ready for their August class in July. Captain Falt, Lieutenant King and FF K.Morse went "Back to Basics" with Probie Firefighters J.Kahoun C.Ball and B.Ball. Topics covered were PPE and SCBA Donning and Doffing. Equipment Familiarization, Ladders and Roof Ops. It was a new learning experience for our new probie firefighters as well as a refresher for our certified firefighters. Basic Vehicle Extrication Station 292 hosted a Basic Vehicle Extrication drill on June 22nd, 23rd and 24th. Companies came from Station 181 (Browns Mills Fire Co.), Station 185 (Magnolia Road Fire Co.), Station 184 (Presidential Lakes Fire Co.) and Station 172 (Hampton Lakes). The class was held by ETC (Emergency Training Consultants of New Jersey) over a 3 day period. Firefighters learned new technology on cars as well as new techniques for their extrication tools. Live Burn @ ESTC with 185,172, and Districts 90 and 50 April 24th 2007 1900 Hours Station 172 (Hampton Lakes) was conducting a live burn at the Class A building at the Burlington County ESTC. Chief Young generously invited Stations 292,185 and members from Districts 50 and 90 to participate in the drill. Topics covered were: Engine Co Ops, RIT, S&R and Ventilation. Participants were able to due a mass array of jobs so everyone was working one way or another. Station 292 thanks Chief Young for sending out the invite and letting us tag along.
